ABOUT COD JUNIOR CHURCH
Welcome to the Junior Church of the City of David where the Love of GOD reigns and dreams come through, where legends are born and tomorrow’s history is experienced today.
The Junior Church is a version of the adult church with child-focused activities. It allows the opportunity for children to feel a valued part of the adult church and to learn about God in a vibrant, fun and friendly environment relatable to them.
COD Junior Church consists of eight class groupings, each with a team lead, deputy, teachers and helpers.
The Junior Church exists to cater to the needs of the children and help to grow in the knowledge, love and fear of God.
The purpose and responsibility of Junior Church is to:
- To minister and cater for children ranging from ages 1 – 12
- To share the word of God and teach children in a Sunday School
- To run a curriculum that is centered around the Love of God and have syllabus for different ages
- To teach by example, so that in turn the children will learn to be good example to other children and impact their world positively
- To minister to and partner with the children’s parents (Prov 22:6)
One of the strategic objectives of the City of David Junior Church is one of
`To be a global centre of excellence where children are taught of the Lord’, with a mission to Raise Child Leaders.
OUR CLASSES
Our classes are for children from the age of 1 to 12.
Class 1 - 6 Years
Class 7 - 12 Years
OUR CURRICULUM
We follow the Children Zeal Of the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD which is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of GOD’S love and redemption through Jesus.
Each week, these stories come to life through age specific praise videos ,music, activities, and more.
Service times:
Physical service / in person ( Two Services)
Every Sunday morning
Sunrise 8.00 am
Sunshine service 10.30 am
Please note that children can be brought in earlier for the sunrise service as the teachers are available from 7.00am every Sunday morning.
Attendance:
On average, 150 children are engaged twice a week.
THE TEAM
We have a team of experienced and dedicated teachers who constantly go through various trainings at the Church. The teachers have the children’s interests at heart and make each week as exciting and relevant as possible.
All the teachers have been carefully selected in compliance with strict safeguarding criterias of the Reedemed Christian Church of GOD and best practices.
